Portobello Brewing is a real mix - combining start-up style energy with vast industry experience. Headed by two brewery industry veterans, Rob Jenkins and Joe Laventure, the rest of the team (not least Head brewer, Farooq Khalid) bring tons of energy and enthusiasm and the result is a vibrant brewery that really knows what it is doing.
Located close to London’s crucial Westway road artery, the team has developed a strong range core beers supplemented by a regular, rotating roster of seasonal beers. For those new to Craft Beer, Portobello’s London Pilsner is an excellent entry point – a crisp, refreshing lager which tastes reassuringly familiar but begs the question: why don’t all major brewery lagers taste this good!
Star | English Bitter4.3%
Portobello Star is a traditional 4.3% ABV cask beer. Brewed with Maris Otter, caramalt and crystal malts, Portobello Star is a beautifully balanced beer with hints of berry fruits and roasted coffee.
Decca Supreme Session Ale | Pale Ale4.3%
Decca | Pale Ale4.3%
Tropical Crush IPA | Session IPA4.4%
Westway Pale Ale | Pale Ale4.0%
London Pilsner | Pilsner4.6%
Portobello Pilsner is an unashamedly traditional lager in the Pilsner style - which takes time. Long cold fermentation and maturation with specially selected yeast is essential to achieve its fully rounded flavour. A continental lager to fight for, rather than after!
