There's so many events going on over the next few days as part of London Beer City... here's our pick of the bunch!

We all love beer. It’s been a staple part of British culture for thousands of years, going back at least as far as Roman times, when brewing was already firmly established as an important part of civilisation. But with so many different beers and breweries, the choice on offer can at times seem overwhelming.
Summer evening trip to Peckham to visit Brick Brewery and the Bussey Beer Garden.
You could be forgiven for thinking that alcohol would be completely free of animal derived ingredients; it certainly appears that way. Vodka and Gin are distilled from any sugar or starch rich plant material (such as Rye or Wheat) and the latter achieves its unique flavour through the addition of Juniper and a whole host of other botanicals depending on the brand. Both red and white wine combine grapes, yeast, sugar and water and lagers and ales have a similarly plant-based ingredients list; yeast, hops and grains. So, how can it be that some alcohol isn’t suitable to those following a vegetarian or vegan diet? Well, the answer lies in fish (yes, fish) and more specifically, something known as ‘isinglass’.
June was a busy month with attendance at Leigh Farmers' Market and the Essex Motor Show for Father's Day culminating in our presence across the weekend at the Leigh Folk Festival!
So here it is. Finally. The day has come – we are live!! We’re ready to stop just posting on social media and actually open our subscription club; supplying you with some fine beers.
One weekend, two launch events!
Hoppily formally launched over the May Bank Holiday supported by our attendance at the Festival of Southend and Mersea Island Food, Drink & Leisure Festival.
Having jumped off the Overground at Shoreditch High Street, we entered the Commercial Tavern, located between Spitalfields market and Brick Lane, to be met by a fantastic selection of keg & cask beers and "Babies" by Pulp on the soundsystem – this was sure to be the makings of a good evening!
